Dear parents and carers,

I write in order to share our end of term 5 Pillars of Excellence Newsletter, which I hope you may find some time to read through over the coming half-term break.

As always, there is much to recognise and celebrate across our Trust of schools and divisions: from our City View Nurseries, The Canterbury Primary School and The Canterbury Academy; through to the endeavours of our Youth, Community and Extended Services team and all of the brilliant work they do in communities across East Kent and beyond.

Our Pillars of Excellence continue to offer as much as possible, as often as possible, for as many as possible, through our university style community campus and exceptional facilities. As you will see through the newsletter, we never stand still and neither do our students; who continue to grab every opportunity they are offered to the very best of their ability. I’m sure you will remain as inspired by them as we are.

For all those students across our Trust, at The Canterbury Primary School and The Canterbury Academy, who have recently sat, or continue to sit examinations, we wish them the very best of luck and every success as they continue into term 6. We will make sure that we keep supporting our students and our families as best we can during what can be an incredibly stressful period.

With another term drawing to a close, I know that Heads of School have already written to parents and carers to inform of the detail for the start of next term; a term which promises to be equally as busy and just as exciting as this one. Not only are we looking forward to all of the opportunity it will bring for our students, but also eager to write to you again and give more detail on further capital projects the Trust will be delivering over the summer break for our community to access from September.

In the meantime, as the weather promises to get warmer, I wish you and all of your families an enjoyable half-term, and we look forward to seeing our students again, as normal, on 5 June.

With every best wish,

Jon Watson
Chief Executive Officer
